Why Take a Memory Exam?

Memory tests can determine whether you have memory loss or other forms of mild cognitive impairment.   The results can give you peace of mind or help decide whether you would benefit from a more detailed examination by an expert.

Some causes of memory loss and mild cognitive impairment, such as nutrition deficiencies or thyroid issues, can be treated right away.  Other causes, such as Alzheimer’s, have no cure and may be more difficult to treat.  Treatments generally work better if problems are identified early.

Early detection of Alzheimer's enables you to take advantage of available treatments, plan financial and legal matters and prevent you from unexpected emergencies, such as emergency room visits.

Early detection of cognitive decline is proven to improve quality of life.
